This text opens the website of the Royal Industrial Grand Club in Amsterdam. One of Amsterdam’s most unique locations which is also used for events.
When the main hall was remodeled in 2019, we were approached to install a new sound system with controls and wireless microphones. Everything had to be as plug and play as possible. And quality, ease of operation and durability first of course.
Sound:
For the sound system, we chose the ID series from the Nexo brand. Nexo’s ID series is small but in terms of performance it is a professional speaker. We hung 6 speakers with matching brackets and also the matching Nexo amplifier system. At the request of the client, we had the speakers painted in a specific ral color so that the speaker nicely matched the walls.
Operation:
Again, we chose Symetrix because of its sound and reliability. We installed the Prism 8×8 with an ARC 3 control panel.
Microphones:
Since we ourselves work with Shure’ s ULXD systems in rentals and events with great satisfaction, we chose this system with handhelds, headsets and beltpacks.
USB Audio:
For a good audio connection from e.g. a laptop to the sound system we installed a PCUSB from Whirlwind. This sound card with balanced LR outputs needs no drivers and is thus recognized as a sound card by every laptop.
